President's Letter
March 2010
I recently spent a couple of days at Maranatha Village in Sebring, Florida. I enjoyed visiting with the fine believers in the village, and speaking at Maranatha Baptist Church. Pastor Webber graciously opened the pulpit for a report on Baptist Church Planters.
The greatest blessing of visiting at Maranatha is hearing veteran believers pray. Wow! They pray with earnestness and precision. I like the fact that they name the children of missionaries they are praying for. It is obvious that members at Maranatha know their missionaries well.
I must also commend Marie Moore for diligently and daily preparing the missionary prayer requests. Marie and Dale were Apollos missionaries with BCP, but illness forced them to retire. But even in retirement, Marie and Dale found something they could do. They are an excellent example to all of us.
Don’t forget to PRAY INTELLIGENTLY FOR YOUR MISSIONARIES AND AGENCIES! No one really knows the full extent of the power of prayer.
