Missionary highlight – Blane and Kelly Barfknecht

Chalco Hills Baptist Church started in 2009 with less than 20 people in regular attendance. On August 21st we experienced our highest attended service that was not a special event with 52 people on a Sunday morning! Several new families have become a regular part of our ministry just over this summer. Please pray they would continue to attend and become plugged into ministry. One of the new families started coming after a young couple invited them to Vacation Bible School.  They had never been a part of a church before.  After meeting our people and hearing the teaching of the Bible, the husband began listening to our sermons online [...]

Missionary Highlight – Peter, Mary Lou Jenks and Fran Cupples

It is so exciting to follow God’s plan and see what he can do with an older couple whose peer group is all retiring. Two years ago Peter agreed to be the interim pastor at Victory Baptist Church in Fullerton, Nebraska and Grace Baptist Church in Genoa, Nebraska following the sudden death of their church planter, Roy Cupples.  After a year of filling the pulpit and searching for a pastor, it became evident that neither church was ready for that step.  God in His wisdom intervened and prompted us to say yes to Him and to the churches if they wanted Peter to come as their church planter. At Victory [...]

Servants Baptist Church – the Sharratts

There is so much that is happening in such a quick amount of time that it is difficult for me to encapsualize. It is good to start with " Praise the Lord, for His Mercy endures forever!" I have been preaching through Matthew--"you are the salt and light of the earth." Matthew 7: 7 deals with asking, seeking, and knocking. Our abiding, striving, and resting is a continual process. I am constantly evaluating the condition of my soul, the people of God, and the direction God desires the Church of God to go each step of the way. I realize that a true permanent change of heart and life actions come [...]

Finally started! Construction of a church building in Buckeye, Arizona

Jesus said He would build His church and the gates of hell would not prevail against it.   Desert Hills Baptist Church and Baptist Church Planters’ missionary, Pastor Adam Zamora, have been stretched to the breaking point. Over the past year the questions have been asked, “What else could happen? What else could the local building authorities ask for?” When a question was asked, it seemed as if someone was listening and decided to come up with another request or requirement! The full story would take volumes to document the details. Even the total dollar costs, though extremely high, don’t tell the whole story. The delays and additional time requirements can [...]

Cornerstone Bible Baptist Church – Paul and Janet Robinson

Cornerstone Bible Baptist Church is a church plant located in the City of Camden, New Jersey. Our mission is to glorify God by leading lost souls to Jesus Christ, molding their lives into Christ-like individuals, training them to do the work of the ministry and mobilizing them to minister the word of God to the world. We use various means of outreach to our community, including youth outreach ministry, Vacation Bible School, Bible camp, ladies fellowship, men’s fellowship, movie nights, etc. We have touched the lives of thousands of children and teenagers and hundreds of men and women. We have had many professions of faith in Christ, many baptisms and [...]

Graduation Day for Heritage Baptist Church in Canastota, NY

Early in 2004 Baptist Church Planter Missionaries, Steve and Becky Little, met with several church leaders from Open Door Baptist Church in New Woodstock, NY, as well as a few interested business men.   The subject of the meeting was to discuss a possible church plant in the Canastota/Wampsville/Oneida area of New York State.  In that meeting it was evident that the Lord was leading Open Door Baptist Church to become the Mother Church of the plant under the direction of Pastor Joseph Riggs.   Baptist Church Planters Regional Field Director, John Little,  would be the Mission Agency Director to help oversee the project, and Steve and Becky Little would be the [...]

Graduation Day for Iglesia Bautista la Fe in Glendale, AZ

Connecting Two Worlds with One Gospel The bilingual ministry of Faith Baptist Church / Iglesia Bautista la Fe both “celebrated” a special anniversary and “graduated” from missionary status to be a self-supporting local church on Sunday, March 6, 2016. The English aspect of the ministry technically began 75 years ago in Glendale, AZ; however, in 2010, Iglesia Bautista la Fe merged with Faith Baptist Church, thus “connecting two worlds with one gospel.” This bilingual, bicultural ministry provides services and classes in both English and Spanish on Sunday mornings. The Sunday evening services and Wednesday night prayer meetings are purposely translated from Spanish into English, songs are sung simultaneously in both [...]

Galilean Baptist Church in Fairmont, WV

What an amazing adventure being in West Virginia has been, and it looks like it will continue to be! Galilean Baptist Church in Fairmont is our first assignment as missionaries with BCP. We started deputation in January of 2013 knowing God was bringing us to West Virginia but not exactly where. We were looking for a place to start a new church. In the fall, Dr. David Little called me while I was still in the hospital and asked if Sharon and I would consider helping Galilean, if they asked for help.  After getting out of the hospital we restarted deputation and continued to look for a church plant location.  [...]

Pinecrest Baptist Church in Millbury, MA

Pinecrest Baptist Church started as a rescue work in 2004 with 11 people formerly known as Berean Baptist Church in Auburn, Massachusetts.  We were called as Missionary Church Planters through Baptist Church Planters to keep this work from closing.  Out of this group of 11 people - 6 moved away, 3 were unsaved, and only 2 had a clear salvation testimony.   Our family of 7 immediately helped the attendance and we were excited to see what the Lord had in store. This group met in an old home with the auditorium on the upper floor and parking a long walk up sets of stairs as well.  The building was not [...]

Answered Prayer for ChurchCare Construction

Two years ago, ChurchCare, the church building ministry of Baptist Church Planters, made our mission family aware of the need for a travel trailer. The trailer would be used by mission administrators, missionaries, and volunteers working on our church building projects. The mission published this need in our publications and website. The need was met with a mild response. A couple of calls wanting to sell us a trailer and only $100 came in designated for the trailer. The administration put the need on the back burner and moved on. God would provide in other ways. Fast forward to August 2015. A friend of the mission called and said they [...]
