Missionary Update – June 21, 2017

Roy and Karen Kinney – Church Planters at Pinecrest Baptist Church in Millbury, MA Prayer Letter What a beautiful summer day in New England. We praise God for His beautiful creation. Our foster boys, Joseph and Hezekiah, were permanently discharged from our care and moved to their grandparents in New Hampshire the 24th of April. We facilitated the transition and tried to make it as easy on the boys as possible.  Our hearts are aching though as Joseph was here for three years and Hez was just turning two. They went with the Gospel message and lots of love; we even recommended a church in their town to attend.  Please [...]

Missionary Update – June 14

Jim and Janice Mitchell – Church Planters at Thousand Oaks Baptist Church in Thousand Oaks, CA Friday, June 9 Let me share a couple of blessings that are a result of your prayers and God's goodness. Last Sunday night one couple brought four visitors to the service - family and friends.  This Thursday night one of our guys brought another guy to our Men's Bible study that he met and built a relationship with.  This is what we need and it is exciting to see our people involved. Also, our friend Jack came out from Colorado and helped us with several projects. We are starting to get caught up with [...]

Ron and Sandy Cornell – missionary builders

“God led me very specifically into the electrical field so when I retired I could serve Him with my electrical abilities at Baptist Missionary Builders and now with Baptist Church Planters in helping to build churches.” Ron and Sandy Cornell bring expertise and experience to this ministry where they have served faithfully and joyfully for ten years after retiring from a successful thirty-year career as a maintenance engineer in the Nuclear industry. Brent and Michele Howard shared, "We have been blessed to be able to work with Ron and Sandy 9 of the 10 years that we have been builders.  We were appointed as missionaries at the same meeting and [...]

Rob and Beth Worthington – “a place of new beginnings”

God works in truly great ways!  We have seen His blessings on our family as we have grown from a family of six, to now having 4 grand children with one on the way!  We have one wedding coming up in October of this year with Sharon to her fiancé Chris.  They both serve in Iraq as civilian contractors and they both work with UAV’s.  Crystal our oldest is in Wyoming with her husband and two boys, Bobby is in Florida with his wife and son, and Cheryl with our only granddaughter is in PA.  Didn’t think I would ever be this old!  But grand kids are great!     [...]

Hispanic Think Tank – Feb 10, 2017

Encouraging and Equipping in Two Languages by Wanda Taylor (Hispanic Ministries with Baptist Church Planters) "It was a big blessing. Thank you to the committee for making it possible. Thank you to all the attendees for the warm fellowship. Onward!" These were words from one of the ministry leaders who attended the Hispanic Think Tank on Friday, February 10 in Chandler, AZ. The Hispanic Think Tank, also known as the National Conference on Hispanic Outreach, (NaCHO) has previously been held the past three years in Greenville, SC. This was the first time that this ministry opportunity was made available out west. Originally started through the efforts of Herb Taylor (Coordinator [...]

Missionary Update – Feb. 14

Dr. Mike and Karen Peck – BCP Author and Family Counselor Wednesday, February 15 Over the weekend Karen had a significant setback with pneumonia-like symptoms as a side effect of her chemo medicine. She has been on steroids and an antibiotic since Saturday afternoon. Today she seems a little better. On Tuesday she will see a lung specialist. These are days that the cancer battle rages rather intensely. Thanks everyone for your prayers. This morning Karen and I read, "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore will not we fear...Be still and know that I am God" (Psalm 46:1-2,10). Whatever your trouble, He is [...]

Missionary Update – Feb. 8, 2017

Dr. Mike and Karen Peck – BCP Author and Family Counselor Wednesday, Feb. 8 It is such a privilege and joy to us knowing that so many friends and family have joined us on this cancer journey. You have willingly walked a little while with us as we are traveling along. Today we really sensed your prayers. Thank you so much for praying. I am happy to tell you that we are home from the hospital. Karen’s procedure went well. Today the Radiology Specialist removed 1.5 liters of fluid from Karen’s abdominal region. Immediately Karen felt relief from the pressure and for this little while was able to eat a [...]

Missionary Update – Feb. 1

Dr. Mike and Karen Peck – BCP Author and Family Counselor Wednesday, February 01, 2017 Thank you so much for your prayers. Karen and I have a major praise to share with our friends. Just a few minutes before midnight on January 30th, our youngest daughter Rachel gave birth to Cassidy Elaine (named after her grandmother Karen Elaine). Little Cassidy Elaine weighs 6 pounds 15 ounces and measures 19 inches long.  Karen's cancer journey now is nearing two years. There have been times when we didn't know if she would ever be able to hold her new little grandchild. My heart was filled with emotion as Rachel's husband, Josh, handed [...]

Roy and Karen Kinney – looking forward to 2017!

We have seen God's hand of blessing in 2016 and look forward to what He has in store ahead. FAMILY BLESSINGS: Our family has grown!  Kaia-Ann Grace Hansen was officially adopted into our family in November and Leroy & Kiersten were married Thanksgiving weekend.  November was a full month of celebrating! Our family gatherings consist of 16 people with all of us plus spouses, grandkids, foster children, and foster grandchildren.  That is a full life of blessings as each one loves the Lord and serves in our local church. CHURCH BLESSINGS: We have what this second largest city in all of New England needs...the life saving Gospel to share with [...]

Missionary Update – Jan. 25

Dr. Mike and Karen Peck – BCP Author and Family Counselor Friday, Jan. 20 Thank you for taking a moment or two to check in on us and catch up with what is happening at the current time. Over many years of ministry, Karen and I have seen the loneliness and heartache of those who are going through trials without trusting the Lord and experiencing the encouragement of friends. They are very much alone. Watching and listening to people who do not belong to the Lord and with whom there is very little human encouragement and friendship reminds us of how terribly and horribly empty is the life without the [...]
