Missionary Update – Dec. 5, 2018

Paul and Janet Robinson – Church Planters at Cornerstone Bible Baptist Church in Camden, NJ Prayer Letter As the Thanksgiving season departs and the Christmas season approaches, we are anticipating great things from God! The Lord Jesus came to planet earth to reach a lost world and our focus for the month of December will be on Outreach. Our messages this month will challenge our folks not only to share the gospel with people as they are going about their daily activities – work, shopping, family gatherings, etc., but also to invite people to church. This will all culminate in our Back to Church Sunday on January 6th in which [...]

Missionary Update – Nov. 28, 2018

Peter and Mary Lou Jenks – Church Planters at Victory Baptist Church in Fullerton, NE Prayer Letter We have had a busy summer and early fall. Our outreach opportunities were amazing. Day Camp and the week-long camps at Whispering Cedars have had great results. Both of our churches have seen an increase in their JOY Clubs and at least five salvations since September. We had our baptism service in late June with beautiful weather as ten were baptized. Many visitors were present. The exciting result of these new members is to see them joyfully serving the Lord in various areas at church. Our time with family this summer was special. [...]

Paul and Janet Robinson – Pennsauken, NJ

Greetings from New Jersey! Please allow me to share with you some of the things that the Lord has been doing in our ministry during the past year! After twenty-three years of meeting in a converted 3-bedroom row-house in the City of Camden, one of the poorest cities in the nation, on January 7, 2018, we were able to relocate to the Township of Pennsauken by renting four rooms at a Lutheran Church. We presently conduct our Sunday morning service in their fellowship-hall while our nursery children, primaries and teens meet in three additional rooms. In Camden, we have ministered the gospel to hundreds of families, and have seen many [...]

Family Camp 2018

BCP Family Camp 114 BCP missionaries, administration, staff, councilmen and speakers converged on the campus of Faith Baptist Bible College in Ankeny, IA, for Family Camp July 17-20.  It was a great time of relaxation and fellowship for all!  Here is what one missionary shared:  “We were truly refreshed and encouraged from being there.”

Retiring in 2018

Brent and Michele Howard – missionary builders

Brent and Michele began in the ministry of building churches – building lives in 2007 under Baptist Missionary Builders.  They received much informal guidance from the leadership at BCP as they were getting started as missionaries and were thrilled when in 2010 BMB merged with BCP to form ChurchCare Construction. During their 11+ years of serving in this ministry, they had been privileged to work alongside their coworkers, Ron and Sandy Cornell.  Other missionaries have come and gone during that time, but the Cornells have ministered with us right along.  Together they have contributed to 30+ projects in various forms ranging from complete new buildings up to 20,000 sq. ft. [...]

Orlando and Debbie Collazo – Lorain, OH

The Lord has been doing many different things at Fellowship Baptist Church in Lorain, Ohio.  We have had the opportunity to reach out to our community in diverse ways.  One way is through our “open gym” nights where approximately 15-20 local teens and college students come, play basketball, and listen to the teaching of the Word and the Gospel.  We have so far had 3 individuals entrust their lives to God through this ministry.  Please keep praying for the many that come and hear about Christ but have not yet entrusted their lives to Jesus our Lord. Another community outreach has been visiting the local shelter and taking food and [...]

Fran Cupples – Fullerton, NE

The Many Hats of Fran Cupples - In 1994 Fran Goodspeed lived in Omaha, NE, with her youngest son. At  Whispering Cedars Baptist Camp lived director and widower Roy Cupples. During a conference Roy noticed Fran at the piano, invited her out for lunch, and began a relationship leading to marriage and ministry together. They continued at the camp until 2003 when they decided to focus on one ministry—Victory Baptist Church in Fullerton, NE. They ministered to the church family and also served on the community Chamber of Commerce. They began praying about a church plant in the neighboring town of Genoa and in 2012 the first service at Grace [...]

Meet Rob and Mishael Martinez – missionary appointees to Albany, NY

We are Robert and Mishael Martinez. We were just approved as church planters during the March Council meetings. We are currently finishing our ministry responsibilities at our home church in Gloversville, NY. We plan to officially relocate to Albany, NY, this coming August to begin the ground work of planting City Rise Baptist Church. The plan is to continue deputation for about a year’s time  while also getting connected into the community. We then will begin the process of holding strategic Bible studies and discipleship meetings, as well as  conducting vision and interest meetings in the city. Please pray for our church, Adirondack Baptist Church, as we begin the process [...]

Wayne and Shanna Dale – Scottsdale, AZ

The people at Grace Baptist Church have faced some great challenges, but they also have seen God work in greater ways.  In 2015 they were without a pastor, meeting in a building that held 60 people, and were down to about 12 members.  Yet God was not finished with them.  Through past discussions with a real estate agent, and the help of deacon Michael Ronning, the group engaged in a transaction of faith and sold their present building and property to a developer, and moved 4 miles to a new church property that seated over 200.  This new property included over 11,000 sf with 2 buildings.  The prior church people [...]
