Friends,

Many of you have been praying and giving to help the victims of the recent disasters that have impacted Texas, Florida and Puerto Rico. I also am aware of the fires in the West. Many families have lost their homes because of all of these events.

Baptist Church Planters has started a disaster relief fund. While we cannot help everyone, we do believe that God expects us to help those who are connected to our mission family. ChurchCare, the construction ministry of Baptist Church Planters, sent one of our missionary builders to Texas within days of the event. The BCP missionary was able to evaluate and report about the needs within the churches and mission works that were affected. Recently I followed up with a call to Pastor Albert Armitage from Berean Baptist Church in Humble, Texas. BCP has been coordinating work teams to help with the repairs that are needed, and several thousand dollars have been given.  The families are very grateful for the help.

Pastor Armitage stated that there are critical needs for funds to purchase building materials. The estimated need is $100,000.00.  Gifts given through other agencies and churches total approximately $45,000 to date. We are making you, our friends and supporters, aware that there is still a significant need in Humble, TX.

If you have questions, need more information, or would like to send a work team, please contact me. If you want to give, visit our website at www.bcpusa.org/giving.

We thank you for your faithfulness in the past and ask that you continue praying for the relief efforts.
