President’s Challenge – May 2011

By May 26, 2011January 31st, 2013No Comments

I just returned from a trip to Pennsylvania and New Jersey, meeting donors, speaking at Calvary Baptist Theological Seminary and visiting the church plant in Camden, NJ.  What a whirlwind of emotion in one trip.

It is very precious to meet those dear ones that for many years have supported the general fund of this mission.  As I hear their stories of life and serving the Lord, it makes me so thankful that God continues to work in lives over years, generations, and centuries.  HIS WORK DOES NOT FAIL BECAUSE HE DOES NOT FAIL.

At the seminary I talked to younger men who were training for the ministry.  I thought about the days when I trained and all the blessed years of ministry.  I reminded the men that the work of God is very rewarding.  I met one man who is Puerto Rican who may be interested in reaching Hispanics in a needy area we have been praying about.

Then I experienced the emotion of seeing the faithfulness and steadfastness of missionaries Paul and Janet Robinson.  Their work in the inner city of Camden, NJ is not easy, but their love for the Lord and for the people is very evident.  I loved meeting the people of Cornerstone Bible Baptist Church, Camden, NJ.  I was also blessed to hear Brother Paul express his deep appreciation for churches like Haddon Heights and Faith Baptist of Sellersville.  These and other churches have been very supportive.  Church planting is a team effort.

And day after day, churches and individuals continue to support church planters and Baptist Church Planters.  My heart is full.  Thank you.
