“God led me very specifically into the electrical field so when I retired I could serve Him with my electrical abilities at Baptist Missionary Builders and now with Baptist Church Planters in helping to build churches.” Ron and Sandy Cornell bring expertise and experience to this ministry where they have served faithfully and joyfully for ten years after retiring from a successful thirty-year career as a maintenance engineer in the Nuclear industry.

Brent and Michele Howard shared, “We have been blessed to be able to work with Ron and Sandy 9 of the 10 years that we have been builders.  We were appointed as missionaries at the same meeting and began working together on our second job.  They truly have a servant’s heart for ministering to the churches that we are working on.  We have seen them over and over again sacrifice of their time, talent, and treasure to benefit the body of Christ.  They have truly honored the Lord in their “retirement” years by continuing to serve Him.”

The Cornells live in a fifth-wheel going from project to project. They enjoy this nomadic life and “cherish all the churches we have  helped and the people we have met along the way.” They have three married children and nine grandchildren. Currently they are building at First Baptist Church in Niles, OH. Ron is the first missionary builder to serve on the ChurchCare Construction board.
