Missionary Update – June 20, 2019

Jim and Sharon Solomon – Church Planters at Galilean Baptist Church in Fairmont, WV Saturday, June 14 Thank you SO MUCH for your prayers! The doctor said Jim's surgery went well. He also said it would be very painful for a while, and it is! Jim does have a drain, which they expect to be able to be removed by the end of the week. We will miss being with our church family tomorrow. The church has a wonderful team of people who do so many things that need to be done and work well together. They are doing a wonderful job of taking on the extras and so are [...]

Nathan and Stephanie Sharratt – Servants Baptist Church, Camden, NY

Are you discouraged? Have you been downcast? Do you know others who feel faint-hearted? Chapter six of Galatians is God’s instruction for us how we are to deal with the frailties of this life. Hear this in Galatians 6:9-10 “And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.  (10)  As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.” It is hard for me to think of Jeremiah, the weeping prophet of the Bible. This man continued to be faithful in such adverse conditions. Praise the [...]

Adam and Elizabeth Zamora – Desert Hills Baptist Church

Serving Christ is undoubtedly an inheritance we can never lose and a joy that can never be diminished, and the body at Desert Hills Baptist is blessed beyond measure. While spring reminds us of new life coming, we have been reminded of new blessings bestowed and upcoming here in Buckeye, Arizona. This is how BCP missionary church planter and wife, Adam and Elizabeth Zamora feel! The ministry has seen growth not just in numbers (we now host an 8:45 and 10:30 service to help with parking and seating) but in ministry participation. We have recently finished a sermon series on Christian Habits. Families were excited to share steps they need [...]

Jim and Sharon Solomon – Galilean Baptist Church in Fairmont, WV

We are so privileged to be serving in West Virginia at Galilean Baptist Church.   As in most churches, we have our ups and downs. We started 2018 saying goodbye to one of our key men who was promoted to glory in early January.   Even in that we have been able to see God’s mighty hand at work. Jim Evan’s prayer for as long as we have been at Galilean is that his 2 daughters and their families would start attending church again and that the family members who are not saved  would get saved. Since Jim’s home going, his two daughters have been attending regularly with their children, and on [...]

Jim and Janice Mitchell – Fort Collins, CO

A key word for us this year has been transition.  At the end of 2017 we were beginning our transition out of Thousand Oaks, CA. After ministering there for 3 years, the Lord brought that church back to a position where they could again call a full-time pastor.  As we sought God's will for our lives, two churches in CO contacted us for help. The one church was a new plant, two and a half years old, whose pastor was leaving to help plant another church.  It was comprised of young families and filled with promise.  This is the church we believed God wanted us to help, so at the [...]

Paul and Janet Robinson – Pennsauken, NJ

Greetings from New Jersey! Please allow me to share with you some of the things that the Lord has been doing in our ministry during the past year! After twenty-three years of meeting in a converted 3-bedroom row-house in the City of Camden, one of the poorest cities in the nation, on January 7, 2018, we were able to relocate to the Township of Pennsauken by renting four rooms at a Lutheran Church. We presently conduct our Sunday morning service in their fellowship-hall while our nursery children, primaries and teens meet in three additional rooms. In Camden, we have ministered the gospel to hundreds of families, and have seen many [...]

Family Camp 2018

BCP Family Camp 114 BCP missionaries, administration, staff, councilmen and speakers converged on the campus of Faith Baptist Bible College in Ankeny, IA, for Family Camp July 17-20.  It was a great time of relaxation and fellowship for all!  Here is what one missionary shared:  “We were truly refreshed and encouraged from being there.”

Retiring in 2018

Brent and Michele Howard – missionary builders

Brent and Michele began in the ministry of building churches – building lives in 2007 under Baptist Missionary Builders.  They received much informal guidance from the leadership at BCP as they were getting started as missionaries and were thrilled when in 2010 BMB merged with BCP to form ChurchCare Construction. During their 11+ years of serving in this ministry, they had been privileged to work alongside their coworkers, Ron and Sandy Cornell.  Other missionaries have come and gone during that time, but the Cornells have ministered with us right along.  Together they have contributed to 30+ projects in various forms ranging from complete new buildings up to 20,000 sq. ft. [...]

Orlando and Debbie Collazo – Lorain, OH

The Lord has been doing many different things at Fellowship Baptist Church in Lorain, Ohio.  We have had the opportunity to reach out to our community in diverse ways.  One way is through our “open gym” nights where approximately 15-20 local teens and college students come, play basketball, and listen to the teaching of the Word and the Gospel.  We have so far had 3 individuals entrust their lives to God through this ministry.  Please keep praying for the many that come and hear about Christ but have not yet entrusted their lives to Jesus our Lord. Another community outreach has been visiting the local shelter and taking food and [...]
